MiniGauge: Precision Fluid Measurement for Low-Volume Wells
Accurately measuring produced fluids in low-volume wells is crucial for optimizing production and identifying performance issues. The MiniGauge was specifically developed to provide quick and accurate fluid measurement for wells with lower production rates. Its compact design, featuring smaller and shorter piping, allows for fast-to-sampler action and manual gross and water cut measurements, ensuring precise and efficient data collection.
How MiniGauge Works
The MiniGauge system employs a pressurized vessel with a direct sight-glass observation method to measure gross production. Additionally, the water cut is determined using a direct-to-test-tube iso-kinetic automatic fluid sampler, providing reliable and real-time analysis of well fluids.
MiniGauge Capabilities
MiniGauges are designed to test wells producing:
0-30 barrels per day (b/d)
10-100 barrels per day (b/d)
These testing ranges allow operators to accurately assess production performance in low-output wells, leading to better operational decisions and efficiency improvements.
MiniGauge Reporting and Analysis
MiniGauge results are structured similarly to DynoGauge reports, featuring:
Strip charts detailing gross and net production
Dyno pump displacement analysis
Comprehensive summaries and full test reports
This consistency ensures that operators can easily interpret MiniGauge data in the same format as other well testing tools, making it an invaluable asset for field operations.
